Case: Obama

Yes we can!
YouGov’s elector survey which was
published the day before the presidential election in the USA was exactly
consistent with the real result – that Obama would win with 6% over McCain.
Six months earlier we predicted that Boris Johnson would win the mayor election
in London with 6% over Ken Livingstone. Our projections were within 1% from the
end result in both the Swedish election 2006 and the Danish parliament election
in 2007.
This is some of much evidence for the reliability of
web-based surveys. YouGov started in England in 2000, the same year as our
Swedish origin Quickwise. That year Barack Obama was a young federal state
senator in Illinois. Now times have changed. It was through a revolutionizing
and thought out strategy online that Obama defeated first Hillary Clinton and
afterwards John McCain to become USA’s 44th president. In the same time we have
grown through innovation to a worldwide analyzing agency. Through surveys via
our online panels we can deliver the survey results equally quick on all
important markets.
Now we are also named YouGov in
Scandinavia and we are working on changing the technique and conduct even more
effective, quick and reliable market surveys.
